Persistent rumours that Kate Moss is expecting her second child are true, according to a UK tabloid.

The pregnancy rumours hit fever pitch last week when the model – who has a six-year-old daughter Lila Grace - was snapped with a noticeable bump during a night out in London.

And a UK tabloid quotes a source close to Kate who confirms that there is indeed a baby on board.

“It’s true,” an insider tells the News Of The World. “Kate is pregnant. She’s overjoyed at the news.

“She’s past the 12-week stage so she’s telling more and more people. Her friends are delighted for her.”

It's claimed the normally hard-partying star is making efforts to curb her wild lifestyle after learning she is expecting again.

The source adds, “Kate and Jamie are closer now than ever. She’s not going out as much as she used to but when she does he puts a protective arm around her.

“He’s really excited at the prospect of becoming a dad. He already dotes on Lila Grace and is besotted with Kate.

“She’s a devoted, loving mother who enjoys a wonderful relationship with Lila despite a career that takes her all over the world.

“She’s vowing to be an even better mum this time.”

As Entertainmentwise reported last week, Kate made a quick exit from Movida nightclub in the early hours of Thursday morning, leaving Jamie inside.

Sources tells us that the chain-smoker didn't light up for four hours while in the club, although her alcohol intake appeared to remain unchanged.
