Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie brought a touch of Hollywood glamour to the British Academy Film Awards 2009 last night.

The pair lit up a rain-sodden red carpet as they posed for pictures.

However, both continued their awards losing streak, failing once again to pick up any of the major awards.

The Tomb Raider star - nominated for Changeling - lost out in the leading actress catagory to Kate Winslet, who claimed victory for her performance in The Reader.

Brad, too, lost out to Mickey Rourke who won Best Actor for his performance in The Wrestler.

But Brad's film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button did manage to bag awards in three technical categories.

Best Film - Slumdog Millionaire

Outstanding British Film - Man On Wire

Leading Actor - Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler

Supporting Actor - Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight

Leading Actress - Kate Winslet in The Reader

Supporting Actress - Penelope Cruz in Vicky Cristina Barcelona
