Renee Zellweger received an eye-popping surprise as she celebrated being named Hasty Pudding Theatrical's Woman of the Year.

Following in the footsteps of last year's winner Charlize Theron, the actress celebrated the honour by joining in the annual parade.

Renee was flanked on either side by two male members of the Harvard drama troupe in fancy dress as she rode on the back of a silver Bentley convertible.

The Hollywood beauty enthusiastically entered into the spirit of the festivities, waving to cheering fans, signing autographs and recording it all on her cell phone.

At one point, she raised a hand to her mouth in mock offence as one of the students exposed a false boob in her direction.

She later danced around on stage in a fat suit in a tribute to her role as big knicker-wearing Bridget Jones.
