Etta James has launched an astonishing attack on Beyonce Knowles, after hearing the singer perform one of her songs at Barack Obama's inauguration.

Beyonce - who plays Etta James in an upcoming biopic movie about the soul diva - sang one of Etta's most famous tracks At Last as the President and his wife Michelle celebrated with a slow dance.

But in a bizarre twist, Etta has hit out at Beyonce for singing her track and dismissed Obama as the new face of America.

At one of her concerts Etta said on-stage: “You guys know your President, right? The one with the big ears? He ain’t my President.

"He had that woman singing my song. She gonna get her ass whipped.

“The great Beyonce, she ain’t mine. I can’t stand Beyonce.

“She had no business up there singing on a big ol’ President day, singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.”
