Pete Wentz Defends Jessica Simpson Over 'Fat' Taunts

Pete Wentz has described the recent controversy surrounding Jessica Simpson's weight gain as a "bummer."

The Fall Out Boy rocker - who is married to Jessica's little sister Ashlee - says that he feels sorry for women in general due to the focus placed on female body shapes.

He tells Extra, "I think that the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general, and I think it's a bummer.

"It's bad for young women. I see it affecting young girls who come to our shows, and that's a bummer.

"Real beauty is on the inside, man."

Pete is just the latest star to speak out in Jessica's defense, following messages of support from Ashlee, Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian.
