Angelina Jolie has paid tribute to her fellow actresses after being nominated for an Oscar.

The mum of six - who recently vowed to put on her family before her career - received a Best Actress nod for her role in director Clint Eastwood's Changeling, and will go up against Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet, Melissa Leo and Meryl Streep at the Academy Awards next month.

She says, "It has been an exceptional year for acting, and I am honoured to be in the company of these talented actors whose performances all deserve this recognition."

And it isn't only Angelina's work in Changeling that has been recognised by industry insiders - her animated film Kung Fu Panda is also up for Best Animated Feature.

She adds, "I am also happy that Kung Fu Panda was noticed by the Academy and proud to be a part of a film my entire family loves so much."
