Robert Pattinson says that he's suffered so many knockbacks in the past that he isn't afraid of failure anymore.
The Twilight heartthrob - who recently admitted he will fall back on music in the unlikely event that his acting career fails - says that experiencing rejection has made him thick skinned.
Rob says, "You know, I've failed at so many things in my life that I'm not afraid of anything anymore.
"So now I'm like, 'If it crashes, it crashes. Who cares?"
He adds, "My mum still thinks I'm an idiot. I'd describe myself as laid-back and not vain.
"I modelled when I was a teenager, in that job, you learn to take rejection in stride."
And if it all works out Rob confesses he would love to be the next Johnny Depp.
He says, "I love the career that Depp has.
"I would love to do the same: combine making [big-budget] popular films with independent projects."
