Britney Spears is reportedly being forced to change her thinly veiled raunchy lyrics after criticism from disgruntled fans and radio stations.

The pop princess - whose single If You Seek Amy is a pun on the saucy invitation 'F*CK Me' - is said to have dropped the "k" from "Seek" in order to avoid more controversy.

According to U.K. reports, a string of U.S. radio stations threatened to ban the single from its airwaves unless it was appropriately cleaned up.

A spokesperson for Britney's record company insists it's still early days, telling Entertainmentwise, "There are a few ideas at the moment of how to change it before we go to radio with it, but none confirmed."

For those who have bought the album, the "k" remains on Brit's 'offensive' track.
