Amy Winehouse is branding claims that she is wreaking havoc in St Lucia as "ridiculous".

The Rehab star - who has been holidaying in the Caribbean since December - is rumoured to have spent the majority of her time there pestering guests for booze and swanning around topless.

But Amy insists that the stories about her misdeeds are exaggerated versions of the truth.

She tells the Daily Mirror newspaper, "I'm certainly not out of control as some people have said.

"Yes, I've had a few drinks but I'm on holiday - I'm just young and having fun.

"I'm getting loads of exercise, eating brilliantly and I've really been able to relax. I wasn't really eating properly before with everything going on around me, but its different now."

She adds, "It's a shame that people judge me on every picture someone sends back home, but I've grown to accept that it's the price you have to pay.

"It's sad, but what can I do about it? If I wanted a drink and they had refused to serve me there's plenty of other places to go. It's ridiculous."
