Britney Spears' saucy new single continues to attract controversy, with claims that some US radio DJs are refusing to play the song on account of its racy lyrics.

The pop princess' new record If You Seek Amy contains a thinly-veiled pun on the suggestive invitation 'F.*.C.K. Me'.

According to MTV News, people have begun to see through Britney's X-rated lyrics, landing her in deep water with radio stations.

However a spokesperson for Britney's record company denies the claims, telling Entertainmentwise, "We haven’t serviced [If You Seek Amy] to radio yet."

But for those who have bought the album, there is no escaping Brit's offensive track.

Concerned mum Leonie Barsenbach told Aussie news website Undercover.com.au, "Listening to it, it is extremely blatant and offensive. I feel I have been deceived into believing that this was acceptable content for children but instead it is objectionable."
