Pete Doherty Shot In The Arm?

Pete Doherty has come up with a bizarre explanation for his mangled arm - apparently he was "shot".

The junkie singer cancelled three solo sets at London’s Rhythm Factory last month citing an arm injury as the reason but refused to elaborate further.

Then last week he played a gig at the Jalouse bar in Dalston, London, but was unable to use his arm to play the guitar.

Now it's emerged that following a night out in Paris - where he was working on the artwork for his upcoming solo album - he updated his Facebook page to state: “Pete Doherty was shot at yesterday’s gig.”

This prompted scores messages from his French and English friends about the alleged shooting.

This explanation is unlikely to silence wicked whispers that Pete's arm ailment stems from a recording studio heroin-shooting session gone awry.
