Britney Spears is reportedly fleeing L.A. in a bid to escape the paparazzi and her troubled past.

The pop princess is said to be renting 'Chateau Suenos' – which translates as 'House of Dreams' - in the quiet neighbourhood of Calabasas, a town roughly 25 miles north of Los Angeles, while another home is being built for her in the area.

The home in Calabasas dwarfs her old Studio City pad and boasts large grounds for sons Jayden James and Sean Preston to play in.

The palatial $10.5 million mansion - which she previously viewed back in 2008 – also features a home movie theatre, a swimming pool, an outside spa and a mini courtyard with a water feature, plus spectacular views for miles around.

Britney reportedly wants to distance herself from the chaos that has surrounded her at her Hollywood Hills home by moving to the calmness of the Valley.
