Katie Holmes is reportedly hell bent on staying put in New York - much to husband Tom Cruise's dismay.

The actress - whose run in Arthur Miller's All My Sons ended this weekend - has allegedly landed the lead role in the stage adaptation of Finding Neverland.

Katie is said to be eager to make her move to New York permanent so she can focus on her career without worrying about jet lag-inducing trips back and forth to the West Coast.

A source says, "Katie hopes to convince Tom to move to New York.

"He wanted her back in LA for good but she's stuck to her guns."
