Lindsay Lohan apparently reaches for the fags rather than comfort food after her frequent spats with lover Samantha Ronson.

The Mean Girl - who reportedly came to blows with Sam on New Year's Eve - is seen puffing to her heart's content on a regular basis, despite claiming to have stamped out the habit.

And when the going got tough with Sam, Lindsay was never tempted to seek solace in fatty foods like fellow celeb Britney.

Instead, she is said to have pulled out a pack of cigs for the road.

An onlooker tells the Mirror, "When someone offered her even a piece of muffin, she looked slightly horrified."

Lindsay looked like she could do with a muffin or two when she was snapped on the beach over New Year.
