Tom Cruise: 'My Dream Was Always To Become A Father'

The dad gushes with pride...

Wednesday 07th Jan 2009

Tom Cruise says that he couldn't be happier being the father to three amazing children.

The Valkyrie star is dad to two adopted children with Nicole Kidman, Connor and Isabella, and the father of little Suri with wife Katie Holmes.

And according to Tom, having a family has always been a life long dream alongside his superstar acting career.

He tells OK! magazine, "I love it. I love being a father. I always wanted to. As a kid, I couldn't wait to grow up.

"I remember being four years old - I always wanted to work and grow up. I always wanted to be a father.

"I've enjoyed every part of it to all three of my kids. I feel lucky to have teenagers and to have a toddler, to have the journey of both happening at the same time. All my kids, I love them."

Tom recently confessed he would love to steal Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's baby-making thunder by having up to 10 children.

  • Why doesn't he shut up. He acts like he's the only person in the world who love's his kids. I'm sorry but everything the guy says or does just sounds like a publicity stunt to me. I'm sure all the movie stars love their kids but you don't hear them talking about it 24/7. Everything he thinks and feels HAS to be made into a news article. And it isn't even the media hunting him down. He practically shoves himself and his wonderful life in THEIR faces.

  • Tom is said to be worried about the safety of his family yet his two year old is forever in the glare of the public eye. I think this guy is warped. No he is not a good father, but I am sure he has some very good child careres for them. Tom used to be an actor held in high regard, now he is nothing more than a d-listed celeb who is happy to bolster his ratings by going on and on about his kids.
