Jennifer Aniston and her beau John Mayer enjoyed the holiday season with Courteney Cox and her husband David Arquette on a beach in Mexico. 

The couple - who were rumoured to headed for splitsville after spending Christmas apart - rented a beachside villa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Jen and John rung in the New Year with some romance but later parted ways to spend some time having fun with friends.

The former Friends star spent the beginning of 2009 on a beach with Jurassic Park actress Laura Dern, Courteney, her husband David, Sheryl Crow and singer Ben Harper.

John, meanwhile, passed on group socialising and headed back to the U.S where he gushed about his time with Jen.

John wrote on his blog, “I had the best holiday season since I was a little boy.”
