Katie Holmes' motto seems to be 'work hard, spend hard' after it emerged she has spent a reported $10 million over the past six months.

The former Dawson's Creek star got back to work in late 2008 - in Arthur Miller's Broadway adaptation of All My Sons and as dream girl Grace in Eli Stone - after spending two years as a stay-at-home mum to daughter Suri.

And it seems Katie is reaping the rewards of her career comeback after defying the credit crunch by reportedly spending over $10 million dollars.

U.S reports say the actress spent her hard-earned cash on gym gear for Suri, childcare and clothing for the litlle one alongside three luxury apartments.
