Britney Spears reportedly welcomed in the New Year with boyfriend Sandip Soparrkar and her parents.

The pop star - who met her Bollywood star boyfriend on the set of Womanizer - is said to be completely smitten with Sandip.

So much so, in fact, that she threw a New Years party in her L.A mansion so that he could meet mum Lynne and dad Jamie.

A source says, "It was a small, intimate affair but Britney was desperate to introduce Sandip to her nearest and dearest.

"He flew in from India to meet the parents and it went fantastically well.

"At the party Britney was wearing a red and gold embroidered saree - a Christmas present from Sandip.

"They saw in the New Year together, holding hands and kissing. Britney is clearly besotted and seems determined to make a real go of her new relationship."
