The All My Sons actress - who has been looking gaunt and haggard in recent months - is said to have friends and family concerned for her well being.

The couple have reportedly been hit hard with serious threats from anti-Scientology protesters and Valkyrie critics - who face the blame for Katie's weary appearance.

A source tells the Mirror, "Tom takes the security of his family very seriously."

The ordeal is said to have begun four months ago when an anonymous tipper warned them that there would be anthrax in Tom's L.A office.
