Jennifer Aniston reportedly plans to ring in the New Year with her boyfriend John Mayer and best friend Courtney Cox-Arquette in Mexico. 

The former Friends star is laughing off rumours that John was merely a handy date for her during promotional duties for Marley & Me with a romantic celebration surrounded by the people she loves - including her boy toy.

The couple spent Christmas apart but now seem to be reuniting to toast their relationship into the New Year.

John and his brothers flew over to Mexico on Saturday and according to U.S reports the singer is staying put so he can meet up with Jen.

The actress has a reason to celebrate this week after her new film Marley & Me beat ex-husband Brad Pitt's film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to the top spot at the U.S Box Office.
