New Batman Movie Line Up Revealed

The action thriller is gearing up to be the best installment yet...

Thursday 18th Dec 2008

Directer Christopher Nolan has revealed his line up for the third installment of Batman barring one character - Catwoman.

The blockbuster franchise is welcoming Eddie Murphy as the Riddler and Shia LaBeouf as Robin, and also sees the return of Christian Bale and Michael Caine.

A film insider tells The Sun, “Eddie’s a fantastic addition. Everyone’s excited to see what he does as the Riddler.”

But who will fill the role of feisty feline Catwoman still remains unseen.

At this stage rumours are flying round that The Mummy star Rachel Weisz will take on the role.

But here at Entertainmentwise we're hoping that sexy screen siren Angelina Jolie will be brought on board to sink her claws into Batman.

  • Are you guys stupid?? Of course this is just bullshit... Even hack journalists should know that Eddie Murphy is not up for a part in an eventual new batman movie. The top RUMOUR, as it all is at this point, is that Johnny Depp is courted for the role of The Riddler...and who lists The Sun as a source anyway? Hello??

  • Why does it have to be popular actors? Eddie Murphy won't be great as the Riddler because he's a comedian. The Riddler is a strange man with a strange mind, there are probably better roles out there. Also Nolan wants villians that havn't been in a Batman movie and would fit the role for a more realistic view of his Batman movie series.

    • er hello jim carrey ring any bells? hes a comedian and has played one of the most fantastic roles throughout the batman series as the riddler. im not saying i agree eddie murphy should be the riddler, however im disputing your arguement that he wouldn't be as great as another actor because hes a comedian....so what?

  • all these have been disproved. murphy is not playing the riddler. and labeouf hasnt been offered the role. he said he wouldnt take it anyway because he didnt like robin.

  • I agree with the Riddler not being funny. The crazy is left for Joker - The Ridler is more subtle. He's not over the top or anything along those lines. But I have a question - - - With the death of Heath, how's the new actor going tp play this role? Because we all know that Heath was was better a Joker than Jack Nickilson
