Katie Holmes may not be receiving a birthday kiss from husband Tom Cruise this year.

The actress - who has been pictured looking run down and tired lately - stepped out with a nasty cold sore on her mouth yesterday.

Katie - who turns 30 today - was on her way to a performance of All My Sons in New York.

And this is not the first time Tom Cruise's missus has suffered a spotty outburst.
