Jennifer Aniston was reportedly afraid to walk the red carpet alone after her brief split with John Mayer in August.

The Friends star is said to have 'auditioned' potential beaus to accompany her to the Marley & Me premiere after their breakup.

A source tells Page Six, "She didn't want to face the glare of being unattached while Brad Pitt toted Angelina Jolie around.

"She did not want to be single when her movie opened.

"A friend of her agent was calling around asking for young men whom they could set her up with."

Jen's dating mission ended when she rekindled her romance with John in October.
