Tara Reid has checked herself into the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California.

The American Pie star is now more famous for her hard-partying and botched bikini scars than her acting.

A rep for Tara said, “Tara has checked herself into Promises Treatment Center. She checked in herself - it was her decision.

"We appreciate your respect to her and her family’s privacy at this time."

Tara recently told People magazine that she ditched her party girl ways a long time ago: "Trust me: I've done enough of everything for a lifetime!

"I partied. I had fun. I ate and drank and dated a million guys, but I'm so happy with where I am right now."
