Robert Pattinson has been constantly looking over his shoulder since being catapulted into the spotlight by the success of vampire flick Twilight.
The actor - who is faced by hoards of screaming girls wherever he goes - reveals that his fans like to be hands-on and he's starting to get a little uneasy with his new superstar status.
He says, "People ambush me in public and ask me to bite them and want to touch my hair.
"I just don't want someone to have a needle and give me AIDS and I don't want to get shot or stabbed. This is my life."
Robert's fear factor stepped up a notch at the L.A. premiere: "I thought, 'Oh my God. Are they going to blow the place up?'"
