Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes stocked up on Christmas gifts at a toy shop in New York yesterday - but they weren't all for daughter Suri.

The trio proved that the festive season all about the 'giving' when they hit fancy toy store FAO Schwarz - a favourite with Britney and her boys - to pick up literally a truck-load of goodies to donate to Stockings with Care, a charity that gives presents to needy children.

While little Suri was occupied with a pink stuffed dog, her parents picked out toys and games to benefit those less fortunate than their own two-year-old tot.

Suri got in on the action too, helping mum select a Hello Kitty candy dispenser.
