Lindsay Lohan was reportedly spotted snuggling up to Sean Penn at a recent showbiz dinner, with girlfriend Samantha Ronson nowhere in sight.

The Mean Girl - who recently used her MySpace blog to dismiss rumours she had split from her DJ lady love - was invited to break bread with some of Hollywood's finest at The John Dory restaurant in New York last week.

And, according to onlookers, Lindsay took no time in latching herself onto the nearest Oscar winner - which happened to be Sean.

A source tells Fox News, "They nuzzled," before leaving the restaurant together.

Other guests at the party were Robert DeNiro, Clint Eastwood and Jane Fonda.

So where was Sam? No doubt licking her wounds.
