Angelina Jolie Races Ahead Of Jennifer Aniston As Highest Paid Actress

Angelina Jolie has come up trumps as the highest paid female actress - knocking contender Reese Witherspoon off the top spot.

The Changeling star - who recently said she would quit acting to become a stay at home mum - may want to rethink her options after a US publication listed her as a top earner.

The annual list compiled by the The Hollywood Reporter ranked Angelina at number one earning just over £10 million per film.

Following in second place was Julia Roberts and former winner Reese Witherspoon came third for earning a reported £9.5 million for Four Christmases.

Cameron Diaz, Katherine Heigl, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Angelina's rival Jennifer Aniston were also named as the highest female earners.
