Britney Spears put her album promotional duties aside to spend some quality time with her two young sons - but only for a limited time. 

Accompanied by her mum Lynne and dad Jamie, the Womanizer star took Sean Preston and Jayden James out shopping for Christmas toys at FAO Schwarz in NYC.

And - this being Britney - the family group were joined by some beefy bodyguards to keep the singer's paparazzi following at bay.

But after 10 minutes of shopping, Britney was said to have left the store through the back door in a bid to see some friends with photographers on her tail.

Britney's boys met up with their mum in New York where they watched her underwhelming performance on US show Good Morning America.
