Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes returned to their New York apartment after an overnight trip - and it wasn't just sleepy daughter Suri who looked in need of some shut-eye.

The Dawson's Creek actress looked exhausted as she carried her dozing daughter in her arms up to their home.

Katie's has appeared increasingly drawn in recent weeks as she continues her demanding day-and-night performance schedule in Broadway play All My Sons.
