David Beckham looked chuffed to bits when he arrived in New Zealand to a special welcome from local fans. 

After touching down at Auckland International airport with his team L.A. Galaxy, the soccer star watched a traditional Maori performance to welcome him to the country.

A beaming Mr Posh happily signed autographs and memorabilia for fans, and one lucky female received a long hug from her idol.

L.A. Galaxy are to play the Oceania All Stars on Saturday 6 December.

This is David's second visit to New Zealand, the last one being to the country's capital Wellington in 2007.
