Britney Spears' lacklustre appearance in the UK this weekend was all because she was a bundle nerves, according to UK reports.
The pop princess - whose mimed version of Womanizer on the X Factor was panned by critics - was reportedly lacking in confidence before the show.
Her dressing room was scattered with placards featuring words of confidence and support such as, "You are an AMAZING dancer", "Everybody LOVES you" and "You're going to NAIL IT tonight".
After her performance on Simon Cowell's talent show, Britney moved onto G-A-Y where she was reportedly booed for refusing to come out on stage.
The club's promoter, Jeremy Joseph told the Daily Mail, "I don't know why she didn't go on.
"She's really shy, and obviously she didn't feel confident enough. I tried to persuade her, but she said no."
