Britney Spears put on a show-stopping performance last night as she took to the stage in Germany dressed in a Madonna-style outfit.

The comeback queen channelled the queen of pop in her first 'live' performance in a top hat and fishnets that bore a striking similarity to Madge's Sticky & Sweet stage outfits.

The performance - at the Bambi Awards in at Oberrheinhalle - was lacking that certain something that Britney circa 2000 would have brought to the table.

But her captivating - if a little hesitant - stage theatrics certainly went along way towards banishing memories of that shambolic 2007 VMAs performance.
