Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are set to fight their way up the aisle in new movie Bride Wars.

In the upcoming comedy, Liv (Kate) and Emma (Anne) are best friends who share everything - even getting engaged on the same day.

But when their lavish weddings at New York's Plaza Hotel get double-booked, the promise of happily-ever-after becomes a fight to the altar for the bickering brides.

In the promotional poster, Liv and Emma face-off in their best bridal attire while brandishing cake knives.

Bride Wars hits UK cinemas on January 9.
