Guy Ritchie Thanks God After Quickie Divorce From Madonna

Guy Ritchie was heard sighing "thank god" after reaching an agreement with Madonna in a divorce settlement.

The director walked away from their seven-year marriage with a reported £2 million but money is said to have been the furthest thing from his mind when the divorce proceedings began.

The Mirror reports that Guy has said, “It was never about money – never about her bloody art collection. I just wanted to settle it and move on.”

“I didn’t raise any objections at any stage until she insisted the children lived permanently in New York.”

A pal added, “He has never been interested in Madonna’s cash.

"In fact, he turned down a £10million offer from her because he just wanted to get it sorted swiftly. The only sticking point was the children.”

The couple will reportedly share joint custody of their sons, Rocco, eight, and David, three, who they adopted from Malawi in 2006. The boys will split their time between Madonna in the U.S. and Ritchie in the U.K.

Madonna's daughter Lourdes, 12, will live with her mother - because she is the singer's daughter from a previous relationship with Carlos Leon.

Madonna and Ritchie wed at Skibo Castle in the Highlands of Scotland in 2000.

The marriage will be officially dissolved in six weeks time when they will be granted a decree absolute.
