Jennifer Aniston's rumoured dates with Scottish hunk Gerard Butler two months ago were all work and no play, according to US reports.

The Friends actress was immediately taken with the British star after seeing him in P.S. I Love You - but only for work.

“The thing that really blew her away was P.S. I Love You,” a source tells Life & Style.

“Gerard’s performance made her laugh and cry.”

Sources cited the pair getting cosy with one another at Toronto Film Festival as evidence that the pair had embarked on an affair following her split from John Mayer.

But, according to insiders, Jen simply respects Gerard as an actor and was looking to recruit him for a project she is working on entitled The Goree Girls.

Luckily for us the Scottish hunk is still single!
