Paula Abdul On Obsessed Fan's Suicide: 'I Am Deeply Shocked And Saddened'

Paula Abdul has spoken out about the death of obsessed fan and former American Idol hopeful Paula Goodspeed.

The talent judge released a statement after hearing that her biggest fan had been found dead in a car only metres away from her L.A. home.

Paula said, “I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday.
 
“My heart and prayers go out to her family.”

The official cause of death remains unknown but Ventura Police Department believe the she died from a suspected overdose.

Goodspeed – who was panned by all three American Idol judges in 2006 – was an artist whose first drawing depicted Paula.
