Boyzone have made history by being the first boyband to feature a homosexual couple in a video.

Each band member is paired with a romantic interest for some up-close-and-personal scenes in the promo for new single Better.

And, whilst Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch partner up with girls, openly gay Stephen Gately shares an intimate moment with a male counterpart.

Stephen tells BBC's Newsbeat, "I just think it's just a beautiful video and I think it works superbly for the song.

"I'm hoping this video will have a good, positive, all-round reaction."
