Angelina Jolie has revealed that Brad Pitt's famous family portraits had to be censored before they were released for publication.

The mum-of-six told a UK tabloid that she was very proud of the intimate snaps but some of them were not quite household material.

Angelina told the Daily Star,  “We’d look at the pictures as art and say: ‘This is a really interesting photograph’, but then we’d know better and think about how it was going to be received.

“So we made it a little more tame than it was.”

Brad's intimate pictures of family life appeared in the November issue of W magazine.
