Gwen Stefani has got baby Zuma off to an intellectual start in life by taking her baby boy to the library.

The singer spent the afternoon in a Beverly Hills library with husband Gavin Rossdale where they signed up their youngest son for a library card.

Little Zuma looked none-the-wiser as the librarian took his picture for their records.

And Gwen was very much the doting mother - she couldn't stop smiling as she bounced the little tot on her knee.

The proud mum has also released an official photo of herself with 10-week-old Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

Zuma's going to have some great reading skills by the time he joins pre-school!
