Jennifer Aniston has reportedly promised John Mayer that she'll be less needy now that they've agreed to give their relationship another shot.

The Friends star – who was dumped by John in August – is reportedly trying not to put too much pressure on the notoriously commitment-shy singer this time round.

A source tells Now, “The reason John dumped her in the first place was because she was too clingy and desperate to have children.

“Somehow she’s managed to convince him that she’ll ease up on the neediness and more often be the 'fun Jen' that he saw glimpses of.”

Yet we think Jen's recent comments suggest otherwise: "When I got married, I thought it was for life and we’d have kids,.

"If you’d told me when I was 25 that I’d still be unmarried and childless at 40, I’d have laughed in your face."
