David and Victoria Beckham's housekeeper June Emmett is insisting that the stolen items flogged on eBay had nothing to do with her family.

June, her husband Eric and their son Gareth Emmett are being questioned by police about items belonging to the Beckhams – including football shirts, boots and designer clothes – which appeared on the auction site.

June told The Sun: “We are desperate to clear our names but can’t say anything else at the moment.

The housekeeper also declared her affection towards Posh, insisting, “I love Victoria to bits and I would never do anything to harm her.

“Deep down, I think she must know that.

“I’ve known her and her family for years. She is a successful woman and I admire her. They have always taken care of us.”
