Lindsay Lohan is not the only one wanting to dress up like Sarah Palin for this year's Halloween.

It seems the Republican vice presidential hopeful is a popular choice with other Americans too.

A store in New York has put on a gory display of ugly Sarah Palin masks - complete with revolting-looking specs and a green witch's nose!

Meanwhile, a latex mask of Palin is shaping up to be the hottest Halloween costume of the year, out-selling traditional gruesome favourites such as Freddie Krueger and Michael Myers.

"We have been inundated with requests for the Sarah Palin Halloween mask," a spokesperson for US based Halloween outfitters Costume Kingdom confirms.

"It is proving to be much more popular than the Obama or McCain masks or anything else we do."

We'll have to wait until the U.S. presidential elections on November 4 to find out whether Palin will be getting a trick or treat this year...
