Wearing matching red outfits, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise stepped out in New York for some ice cream before Katie's preview performance.

The actress and little tot are currently staying in the Big Apple whilst Katie stars in Broadway play All My Sons.

And the wife of Tom Cruise has a lot to celebrate - the play has already received rave eviews before its grand opening night.

Her guest appearance on TV show Eli Stone has also been praised by her co-star Johnny Lee Miller, who has dubbed Katie's performance "amazing."

Katie dons a tight leotard for her song and dance routine which airs in the U.S on October 21.
