Britney Spears is back with a bang after millions of fans logged onto the internet to see the pop star writhing naked in her new Womanizer video.  

The promo - which marks a return to her Toxic-era best - received seven million views in the space of 48 hours following its release on Friday.

Britney's raunchy characters - a roller skating waitress, a sexy secretary, a stay-at-home wife and finally her naked self - proved to be a recipe for success.

An industry insider tells The Daily Star, “The video has already been an amazing success and is just going to keep getting bigger.

“Brit still has a lot of fans and everyone wants to see her back to her best. Other people are checking it out to see if it’s a car crash but loving it so much they are watching it again and again.

“This should definitely help her win back her pop princess crown back after a difficult time.”

Britney plans to follow up her success with a comeback tour organised by entertainment company AEG.
