Jessica Simpson may be regretting opting for short shorts whilst performing on stage recently, after her unflattering hotpants showcased her cellulite.

The Newleyweds star - who recently admitted to being a nervous eater - has pilled on the pounds in recent months.

Doing her best to win over country fans, the singer spent the weeked in North Carolina and performed at Lowes Motor Speedway prior to the Bank of America 500.

Dressed in black shorts and a Dale Jr black top, Jess seemed happy to flaunt her newly-acquired curves as she performed at the open-air event.

However, slightly longer shorts would have done her new figure more justice.

Are you flipping kidding me?!?! She's all of 100lbs, and you're getting onto her for some "lines". That's not even bad! Shoot I'd wear short shorts if my legs looked that GOOD! Talk about jealousy! Let the dang girl be! She looks AWESOME! THIS is what's wrong with women today!!! Jessica has nice curves and the only thing the media can point out is the back of her legs?? Give me a break! Poor teenagers, no wonder eating disorders are rampart! How can someone criticize someone that small

This is a HORRIBLE story! Poor kids of America. If the media can pick on someone as small as Jessica Simpson, then no wonder everyone has low self esteem! Jessica looks AWESOME! I'd wear shorts like that if my legs only looked 1/2 that good! There's NOTHING wrong with her! Curves are good... and her legs are far superior to most! I think this is just a jealous woman writing this article. Be happy for Jess and don't dement teenagers any further with horrible writing like this!

Seriously?! Her legs look amazing even WITH the almost microscopic traces of cellulite the first photo points out (I don't see any in the third one).

This story is disgusting and the author should be completely ashamed for writing it. That is why we have so many young girls thinking they're fat when they're not. What has this world come to????
