Britney Spears hasn't been a virgin for a very long time but she did her best Virgin Mary impression yesterday when she was snapped at a U.S. airport with a white shawl over her head.

Drawing an end to her short trip to the east coast, the Piece Of Me star was spotted arriving at LAX airport from New York.

Accompanied by her father and a large security entourage, Britney wrapped her white shawl around her face to hide from the hoards of paparazzi jostling to get her picture.

But - with her blue top lending her a Virgin Mary-esque appearance - she only succeeded in attracting more attention to herself.

It seems everyone wants a piece of Britney on the eve of her much-hyped comeback.

Earlier this week, she had to cut short a shopping trip when she found herself dangerously swamped by fans.

Miss Spears is currently on the promotional trail for new single Womanizer.
