This Saturday saw millions of hopefuls turn out for the last week of X Factor auditions.
18-year-old Yvonne Musa started off the competition by declaring that she would give up being a law student to become a singer.
The wannabe adopted a croaky voice in a rather unusual version of Over The Rainbow and Simon, as eloquent as ever declared, “It was possibly the worst version of the song I've had ever heard.”
As ever the bad auditions did not stop there. Next came Rebecca Ferrier, who claimed to be like Amy Winehouse but definitely was not.
Smiley Terry Macdonald's vocals didn't go down well either - with Simon pointing out how he would definitely have won if the show was entitled the Louis Armstrong Factor.
Luckily there were a few winners amongst the losers.
In particular was 18-year-old Amy Connolly who was singing to make her dad proud.
She melted the hearts of all of the judges with an emotional version of Faith Hill’s there you’ll be, earning herself four yeses.
Next week things get tough as the singers are whipped into shape in boot camp.
