Latest: Travis Barker & Adam Goldstein To Make A Full Recovery

Travis Barker and Nicole Richie’s ex-fiance Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein are expected to make a full recovery after their plane crashed on Friday.

The aircraft disaster left four people dead after crashing during takeoff and both stars are said to have scrambled from the blazing wreck before emergency services arrived.

Former Blink 182 drummer Travis – who once dated Paris Hilton – has suffered severe burns to his torso and lower body and Adam is said to have undergone second or third degree burns to a part of his head and arms.

Despite being in a critical condition in the intensive care unit of the hospital - doctors are optimistic that both stars will make a full recovery from their injuries.

"Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected," says Dr. Mullins.

When asked if the expected recovery time would be a year he added, "I would expect it would be much sooner than that."

He also read out a heartfelt letter from the star's relatives: "The families wish to thank fans from all over the world for their prayers and concern. Deepest sympathy is expressed to the loved ones of those who perished in the crash. As the two recuperate and mourn this loss, privacy for them their families and friends is requested at this time."
