During Britney Spears' early career her people pushed the girl-next-door image in the hopes of covering her true wild-child nature, reports a U.S. publication.
According to the pop conspiracy theory, the pop princess is said to have led a double life as the true Britney and her public image as a sickly-sweet superstar.
A family insider tells Life & Style, “From early on, Britney’s team had one agenda: promoting the image of Britney as a good Southern girl. But her reality was a completely different story.”
Her wholesome image has been tarnished in recent years with divorce, questionable parenting skills and mental breakdowns.
But her troubles are said to date back years before her public indiscretions, with mother Lynne claiming in her memoir that Britney was having sex at 14 and alcohol and drugs at barely 16.
